I considered joining Dizzion’s Board in 2020 after meeting Mike Pantilione, a Partner at LLR, at a technology summit several years ago while serving as CEO of FSLogix. Mike’s keen business insight made a strong impression, and we kept in touch over the years. When LLR announced their growth investment in Dizzion in January 2021, I was glad to assist Mike during the due diligence phase.  Though I was offered a board position at the time, I had already accepted a role at AWS.

I first met Rob Green, Dizzion’s co-founder and current CEO, back when he was the CTO. His leadership skills and vision were impressive even then, and we later reconnected during the Amazon WorkSpaces Core project. Like Rob, I transitioned from a technical role to CEO, so I understand the unique challenges and responsibilities that come with leading a company forward.

A great bonus for me is working with Ruben Spruijt, Dizzion’s Field CTO, with whom I share a long history. I'm excited that we’re now on the same team.

After retiring from full-time work earlier this year, I’m excited to join the Dizzion Board and collaborate closely with Rob, Mike, Ruben, and the entire Dizzion team. Their mission to empower customers through secure, flexible, and innovative digital workspaces aligns perfectly with my commitment to customer-centricity and high standards.

Dizzion’s recent recognition as a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service highlights the company’s innovative platform and forward-thinking approach. This acknowledgment solidifies Dizzion’s role as a leader committed to pushing the boundaries of digital workspaces. I’m thrilled to join the board of a company that’s not only keeping pace with the industry but actively shaping its future.

I look forward to supporting Dizzion’s continued growth and helping the company delight customers in the dynamic DaaS market.

About the Author

Dizzion

Dizzion was founded in 2011 with a visionary mission to redefine the way the world works.

In an era of legacy Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Dizzion set out to challenge the status quo by making it simple for all customers to transform their workspace experience. By building a powerful automation and services platform on top of the VMware stack, Dizzion delivered virtual desktops as a service before Desktop as a Service (DaaS) even existed.

Kevin Goodman

Kevin Goodman co-founded and served as CEO for two venture-backed startups: FSLogix (acquired by Microsoft in 2018) and RTO Software (acquired by VMware in 2010). Although Goodman retired from full time work in 2024, he continues to mentor CEOs, as well as students and faculty at his alma mater, the University of Georgia.
