Frame Spins out of Nutanix and Joins Dizzion to Accelerate Growth in Red Hot Desktop as a Service Market

Frame Spins out of Nutanix and Joins Dizzion to Accelerate Growth in Red Hot Desktop as a Service Market

We are excited to announce that Frame and Dizzion, both pioneers and leaders in the Desktop as a Service (DaaS) market, are joining forces to become one company. Frame Platform, Inc., previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Nutanix, was acquired by LLR Partners, a leading growth equity investor that acquired Dizzion Inc. in 2021. Merging both companies together results in one of the largest independent providers focused on DaaS and Composable Digital Workspaces.

The combined Dizzion and Frame teams will continue to partner with Nutanix to enable Desktop as a Service running on the Nutanix Cloud Platform as well as on the leading hyperscalers.

Originally founded in 2012, Frame was acquired by Nutanix in 2018 and experienced significant customer traction and success, especially given the rise of remote and hybrid work in that time. As part of Nutanix, Frame also expanded its supported infrastructure options to include Nutanix infrastructure in addition to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Starting a year earlier in 2011, Dizzion built a successful Managed DaaS business that leverages IBM Cloud and Equinix infrastructure. The combined company now provides an unmatched level of choice and flexibility for customers.

The DaaS market continues to rapidly expand, with 22% YoY growth forecasted for 2023, (Source: Gartner, October 2022). To capitalize on the continued growth of the DaaS market, the combined company will increase investment to fuel the expansion of the company’s go-to-market efforts, drive further innovation, and expand its partnerships.

A Win for Customers

Frame will continue to deliver on the industry-leading levels of service and support enjoyed by customers from its very beginning through its time as part of Nutanix (NPS >90). Frame and Dizzion as a combined company, with a common vision of delivering the best DaaS and Composable Digital Workspaces in the market, will give customers even higher levels of product innovation, choice, flexibility and services.

Apart, but Always Partners

Nutanix and the combined Frame and Dizzion team will continue to collaborate to enable ongoing Frame product support for the Nutanix Cloud Platform as a solution for hosting workloads in both private and hybrid clouds. The Frame product will also continue to be a key end user computing (EUC) solution that will allow Nutanix to present a leading edge DaaS offering to its customers. Ultimately, this restructuring also allows Nutanix to further focus its efforts on being the best hybrid cloud infrastructure provider in the market for end-user computing and a wide range of other workloads including enterprise apps, databases, cloud-native apps, edge computing and more.

“Spinning out Frame to join Dizzion allows both of our organizations to focus on what we each do best, while enabling the ability to collaborate and become partners in the best interests of our customers,” said Tarkan Maner, Chief Commercial Officer of Nutanix. “Frame with Dizzion is well positioned for accelerated growth in the expanding DaaS market.”

“As a pioneer of the DaaS market, Frame has always been on the forefront of innovation in end user computing. We introduced the world to the ability to ‘run any Windows software in a browser’ and as a part of Nutanix led the way to true hybrid- and multi-cloud end-user computing,” said Nikola Bozinovic, Founder of Frame. “As we go forward together with Dizzion, our joint ambitions are as aggressive as the day we each started our businesses with a common vision to free applications and desktops from the bounds of the traditional desktop PC.”

“We are thrilled to merge the Frame team with the Dizzion family and to partner with Nutanix increasing our leadership position in the End User Computing market”, said Steve Prather, CEO of Dizzion. “Together, Dizzion and Frame deliver the most comprehensive DaaS offering available to customers in the global market with vendor assembled to vendor managed services that support the overall market and customer trends to Managed DaaS.”

Dizzion

Dizzion was founded in 2011 with a visionary mission to redefine the way the world works.

In an era of legacy Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Dizzion set out to challenge the status quo by making it simple for all customers to transform their workspace experience. By building a powerful automation and services platform on top of the VMware stack, Dizzion delivered virtual desktops as a service before Desktop as a Service (DaaS) even existed.
