These agents are like teammates, each handling a specific task to make the process more efficient. Key Points:
- What is Agentic AI? It's a system where small AI programs (agents) work together to handle tough tasks, like how a group of people collaborate on a project.
- How to Build It: You start by figuring out what problem you want to solve, breaking it into smaller tasks, and assigning each task to a specific AI agent.
- Tools to Use: Depending on your skills, you can choose tools ranging from advanced ones like Nvidia's NIM to simpler ones like Flowise AI and N8N.
“The next frontier of artificial intelligence is agentic AI, which uses sophisticated reasoning and iterative planning to autonomously solve complex, multi-step problems. And it’s set to enhance productivity and operations across industries”. The article explains that while this technology is new, it has the potential to transform how we use AI in the future. Another great article at Forbes is ‘The Third Wave Of AI Is Here: Why Agentic AI Will Transform The Way We Work’.
2. Why DEX Tools are like Groceries?!
The article "Why DEX Tools Are Like Groceries" from Simon Townsend (ControlUp) compares Digital Employee Experience (DEX) tools to grocery shopping, highlighting the importance of thoughtful selection and implementation of DEX.
Key Points:
- Phased Implementation: Introducing a comprehensive DEX tool is likened to buying six months' worth of groceries at once—it can be overwhelming. Implementing DEX tools in stages ensures effective integration and prevents overburdening IT teams.

5. One Company A/B Tested Hybrid Work. Here’s What They Found.
Since the pandemic, business leaders have had to reimagine their work-from-home strategies to align with organizational goals and improve overall performance. A recent HBR study conducted within a real-world company revealed that employees working remotely two days a week reported higher satisfaction and lower attrition rates than their fully in-office counterparts. This decline in employee turnover translated into significant cost savings in recruitment and training, boosting the company’s profitability.
To implement a successful hybrid work model, leaders can draw important lessons from this research. Key strategies include developing robust performance management systems, aligning hybrid schedules at the team or company level, and ensuring strong support from leadership. Furthermore, executives are encouraged to conduct their own A/B tests to identify the management practices that best suit their unique organizational needs.
Key Takeaways:
- Experiment Design: The company divided employees into two groups: one following a hybrid model with a mix of in-office and remote workdays, and the other adhering to a traditional in-office schedule.
- Productivity Outcomes: The hybrid group reported higher productivity levels, attributing this to reduced commute times and a better work-life balance.
- Employee Satisfaction: Surveys indicated that employees in the hybrid model experienced greater job satisfaction and lower stress levels compared to their in-office counterparts.
- Collaboration Challenges: Despite the benefits, the hybrid group faced challenges in spontaneous collaboration, highlighting the need for intentional communication strategies.
- Policy Implications: The findings suggest that a flexible work model can enhance productivity and satisfaction, but companies must address collaboration hurdles to optimize hybrid work environments.
This article provides practical insights for organizations considering or refining hybrid work policies, a great read!

1. Azure Update - IGNITE 2024 including Windows 365 Link
The "Azure Update - IGNITE 2024 SPECIAL" video by John Savill provides a comprehensive overview of the latest Microsoft developments announced during the Ignite 2024 conference. John delves into various updates and enhancements such as Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), new Azure VM SKUs, CoPilot, Windows 365 Link, Server 2025 and much more. If you’re looking for a more detailed breakdown of all Ignite announcements, check out Microsoft's official Book of News for Ignite 2024.
With regards to Microsoft Windows 365 Link :
"The device features a locked-down Windows operating system with no local data or apps, and no local admin users. By eliminating local data, apps, and admin rights and adding various security features the Windows 365 Link significantly reduces the attack surface, making it more difficult for malicious actors to compromise the device.”
Microsoft's entry into the thin client market with a dedicated Windows 365 device is an exciting development. This announcement, along with the product's availability in 2025, raises interesting questions about its implications for established thin client vendors like IGEL Technology, Unicon, Rangee GmbH, 10ZiG Technology, Stratodesk, and others. Could the saying "a rising tide lifts all boats" hold true for the thin client market?
The focus of this device is clearly on Windows 365 rather than Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This distinction is telling, as Windows 365 emphasizes a Cloud PC approach that is simple, personal, and predictable—a "desktop in the cloud" experience. I personally don’t expect ecosystem partners like Citrix and Omnissa to be able to add their technology to the Windows 365 Link device, Microsoft wants to lead, control and deliver its Windows 365 experience.
2. Microsoft Cancels App-V EOL
Microsoft has announced significant changes regarding its Application Virtualization (App-V) technology
In essence is means the reversal of App-V Client and Sequencer deprecation: The previously planned end-of-life for the App-V Client and Sequencer has been canceled, ensuring their continued support. App-V Server Remains Deprecated: Despite the continued support for the Client and Sequencer, the App-V Server will remain deprecated, encouraging users to seek alternative deployment methods such as AppVentix and Microsoft AppAttach. Tim Mangan, a respected community leader and widely regarded as the 'Godfather of App-V,' has shared a new blog post. You can read it here. Microsoft official FAQ can be found here.
Talking about app attach, MSIX app attach has been rebranded as just app attach and will now support the delivery of both Microsoft MSIX and App-V packages. It also supports ecosystem solutions from Numecent, Liquidware and Omnissa (AppVolumes).
